چکیده
Intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) is a promising new paradigm to achieve high spectral and energy efficiency for future wireless networks by reconfiguring the signal propagation via passive reflection. To reap gains of IRS, channel state information (CSI) essential, whereas estimation errors are inevitable in practice due limited training resources. In this paper, order optimize performance IRS-aided multiuser communications with imperfect CSI, we propose jointly design active transmit precoding at access point (AP) reflection coefficients each consisting not only conventional phase shift also newly exploited amplitude variation. First, achievable rate user derived assuming practical IRS method, which shows that interference CSI intricately related AP precoders, power during both data transmission. Next, single-user case, combining benefits penalty Dinkelbach method block successive upper-bound minimization (BSUM) penalized Dinkelbach-BSUM algorithm proposed maximizing transmission subjected errors; while dual decomposition (PDD)-based maximize users' weighted sum-rate. Finally, simulation results presented validate effectiveness our algorithms as compared benchmark schemes. particular, useful insights drawn characterize effect control (with/without phase-shift control) on system under CSI.

Secure Communication for Two-Way Relay Networks with Imperfect CSI
This paper considers a two-way relay network, where two source nodes exchange messages through several relays in the presence of an eavesdropper, and the channel state information (CSI) of the eavesdropper is imperfectly known. The amplify-and-forward relay protocol is used and the relay beamforming weights are designed. The model is built up to minimize the total relay transmit power while gua...
متن کاملResource Allocation for Broadband Wireless Access Networks with Imperfect CSI
The high deployment and maintenance costs of last mile wireline networks (i.e., DSL and cable networks) have urged service providers to search for new cost-effective solutions to provide broadband connectivity. Broadband wireless access (BWA) networks, which offer a wide coverage area and high transmission rates in addition to their fast and low-cost deployment, have emerged as an alternative t...
متن کاملOn the MIMO Capacity with Imperfect CSI
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna systems provide high capacity gain over a single-antenna system. This gain is maximised when channel state information (CSI) is available at the transmitter. In practice, however, only partial information could be obtained. In this paper, we shall present a study of the MIMO system capacity in the case of imperfect CSI. It is found that in the case ...

In recent years, it was realized that designing wireless digital communication systems to more efficiently exploit the spatial domain of the transmission medium, allows for a significant increase of spectral efficiency. These systems, in general case, are known as Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems and have received considerable attention of researchers and commercial companies due t...
متن کاملDelivery Time Minimization in Cache-Assisted Broadcast-Relay Wireless Networks with Imperfect CSI
An emerging trend of next generation communication systems is to provide network edges with additional capabilities such as storage resources in the form of caches to reduce file delivery latency. To investigate the impact of this technique on latency, we study the delivery time of a cache-aided broadcastrelay wireless network consisting of one central base station, M cache-equipped transceiver...
